DIRECT FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN THE AGRICULTURAL OF UKRAINE

Abstract

Abstract. Formulation of the problem. Taking into account the fact that Ukraine's economy is at the stage of transition from renewable growth to a new cycle of development, the problem of establishing sufficient investment objectives for the future sustainable development of the national economy and achieving the parity between the short-term interests of private foreign investors and the received foreign investments becomes a matter of urgency. long-term effects for national and agricultural economy and the population of Ukraine as a whole.
Setting objectives. The main task is to study the current state of attracting foreign direct investment in the agricultural sector and to identify possible ways to increase volumes and improve investment attractiveness in order to ensure economic development.
The main results. The investment climate in the agricultural sector is unfavorable and this is the main reason for the lack of strategic foreign investments. This leads to the expectation of strategic investors, especially in terms of attracting medium and large capital, and there is an uncertainty about further cooperation from investors who have already invested in the Ukrainian rural economy.
To further improve the investment climate in Ukraine, the current issue is the improvement of the legal and organizational framework for improving the effective mechanisms of ensuring a favorable in-vestibular climate and forming the basis for preserving and improving the competitiveness of the domestic economy. Also, steps are being taken to promote the sustainable development of the Ukrainian economy and the activization of investment activity.
Conclusions. Direct foreign investments are aimed at exporting the country, enabling the company to expand its sales network and thus expand the range of goods sold on foreign markets to a greater extent than if all trade were made through exports. The unfavorable investment climate in Ukraine is the main reason for the lack of strategic foreign direct investment. It holds back potential investors, especially in terms of attracting medium and large capital, there is an uncertainty about further cooperation from investors who have already invested in agriculture in Ukraine. The deterioration of the investment climate in Ukraine is due to the expansion and reduction of privileges for foreign investors, that is, with a low level of protection of their commercial interests at different stages of investment activity development.
